FAQs

Q. When is the best time to book a trip?
A. It depends on your preference and what is important to you. Early spring (April-May) the weather tends to be cooler but the Walleye fish are plentiful. Mid-summer (June-July), one can expect plenty of sunshine and cold drinks to quench your thirst. If you are looking to catch Perch, September-October is the time for you.

Q. I tend to get seasick. What do you recommend I do before we leave the dock?
A. We recommend that you take a motion sickness pill the night before departure, right before bed, and then again first thing in the morning. You can also explore the option of sea bands, an alternative to patches and drugs.

Q. Are there any charters that supply food or should we supply our own?
A. With purchase of our “Executive” Charter, we will supply drinks of your choice, along with a boxed lunch usually consisting of a sub sandwich, chips, pasta salad, and a pickle.

Q. In addition to your charter rate, can we expect to accrue any additional costs?
A. Additional expenses include ice for any fish you catch in order to keep them from spoiling. Also, if you do not plan to clean your fish, Szuch’s Fishery will be happy to do it for an additional cost.
